Good Morning, Possums.
We are on the train from Prague to Munich and I figured I would catch everyone up on what we've been doing.
The flight over was nice and fast. However, we were a little wiped when we arrived in London at Heathrow.I saw two or three of my future ex-husbands there. We may need to open a TCB London branch.
When we got to Prague, we all were a little chocked to find that the car that picked us up was a stretch limo and a HOT driver.Note to self - We need a TCB Prague Branch. The sites of Prague are gorgeous. We went on a 3 hour walking tour which was great. And that night, we went on a pub crawl - all the shots were free and the beer was strong. There were about 100 people on the pub crawl. There were 3 brothers from Wisconsin, each one hotter than the next, and two brothers from Australia - very Hot, but completely psycho. Then there were two guys, barely 21, who fought quite a bit the entire night.I named them 'Peeps' and 'Meat'.
Yesterday, we toured the Jewish museum. It was great, historic and eye-opening.In one room of the synagogue, there were pictures that Jewish kids had drawn - these kids were death camps. Before they were sent to death, their teacher gathered up their drawings, stuffed them in a suitcase and hid it from the Nazis. The suitcase was found after the war and the pics are display. All the kids had drawn their own version of 'happy' - all were pictures of their families, homes and the like.
After that, we made our way to the old-town square were we had chicken kabobs and sausage- both incredibly tasty. We stayed in last night and kicked back. After walking 14 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday, we were a little sore and wipped out.
By the by, I have seen at least two future ex-husbands on the train - we may need to open a TCB EurRail office.
OK, my beer is getting warm, so I'm off for now - Will write more later. We get to Oktoberfest at 3:30pmMore to come.Hope you are enjoying the pics and our blogs thus far.
XOXO,
Andy (aka Candy)
UPDATE:
We have not stopped since we got to Munich. We threw out luggage in the apt and went straight away to Oktoberfest. I've become just like Madonna did when she moved to London in that Ipic up theaccent everywhere we go - TEE HEE.
Tanya, you and Fritz would NOT be disappointed. Oktberfest is heaven...a Mecca even and not to be missed. We have even decided to come back next year.
We stayed at Oktoberfest until it closed Monday night and we made tons of friends. Yesterday, we went on a walking tour, then the beer challenge and then back to Oktoberfest. Today, we on a castle tour - totally cool - it's the castle used in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Sleeping Beauty, and it's also the castle on Disney's logo. We got back about 8pm tonight and ran by Oktoberfest to get the obligatory t-shirt. We take the trainto Milan in the morning. Prague was great, but Munich definitely does not disappoint.
Here are the pics - enjoy and let us hear from you.
