About last night....by Shannon

After a great day of sightseeing through beautiful Prague, we headed back home around 7:00 pm to freshen up and then head out to a pub crawl. So we donned our obviously American apparel and headed out to the clock tower to meet up with the pub crawl group.

Upon arriving, we noticed there weren't too many people, all of them were a lot younger than us, and very few females. As you can imagine, none of these things bothered us in the least.

So we followed our pub leaders through the streets of Prague to our first pub. Upon arrival we were greeted with full beers and found a table in the front with a pitcher of more beer. For the next hour we drank all the free beer we could and took free shots of vodka/Fanta and Absinthe/7up. The crawl guys warned us that after 3 shots we might be seeing unicorns. Luckily, we only had 2 shots of that. Since the bottomless pitcher sat on our table, we met lots of crawlers who refilled their empty glasses. We met the guys from Austrailia - two brothers from Sidney and their friend. Two of them had been traveling around Eurpoe for 4 months so had several stories to share. We also met a nice guy from Indiana and some other travelers.

After an hour or so, we headed to a second bar. This bar was less crowded than the first and we got to know some of the other crawlers even better. It's always good to have Tim along because he doesn't know a stranger and strikes up a conversation with anyone. We were able to get some info on our next stop, Munich. Andy shared a cigarette from Meat and we discovered that three of the most attractive crawlers just happened to be brothers.

On to the third location and this was a club, a small club with loud music and a really small dance floor. Andy chatted up a couple of brothers and found out they will be in Munich later this week as well so we took their number and might be giving them a call. After about 30 minutes of the club, we decided we would go venture out and found a place where "our peeps" hang. Walking was a real effort, especially at night in a strange city after a few drinks. So we grabbed a cab who took us the long way - big surprise.

So we headed to Friends. You go down the stairs and there's not much to it. There's a bar, DJ, and small dancefloor. So we had another round of beers, danced a few tunes, checked out the locals and then headed home.

We found our way home. Tim and I crashed and Roger and Andy decided they needed to stay up for a while longer.
