Calm down! I'm not going to make a habit of updating you twice in one week but I had to tell you this...
I've just had a written reprimand from the college! Apparently I am no longer allowed to use the word 'rubbish' in my classes. I kid you not. I've just read that my 'habit of saying the word "rubbish"' is 'disliked' and that I should stop it to become 'a more respectible and perfect teacher' (sic).
Now, telling tales is not my style but for context: Last week, Wes threw a pile of papers across the classroom and sat and stared at his students until they cracked. In the same week, I stayed into the evening to support my students at a basketball match and held 3 unpaid revision classes for courses I don't teach.
If I was the belligerent, mischievous type, I'd start thinking up some belters to really upset the college...
