Started a little later due to extra sleep. We all needed it! Ate breakfast at Joes Kitchen. Had scrambled eggs, rasher of bacon (really ham), and thick links of sausage. Oh yeah, and baked beans! Strange but great combination. Left breakfast, took the Tube about 30 minutes to Wimbledon. Had to walk about 15 minutes to the All England Tennis Club. There was no line and we got in quick. Had to go through the most intense security check we've seen so far. We were able to sit in on a match on Court 16, got interrupted by a short rain delay. We then went to a gift shop then we walked the grounds. Suzy and I split up from the kids and walked to Paupers Hill to watch from the bleachers on the hillside. Awesome view of the entire park. Left the park at 2:00 for another walk back to Southfields Tube stop and the trip back into London.
Stopped on Oxford Street for shopping (along with millions of other poor souls!) at Adidas, Primark (crazy), Forever 21 (TD and I actually spent most of this time "standing, waiting, wishing" we could leave. Shopping here is simply survival of the fittest. The weak or slow can't survive!
Then, took Tube to less congested area of Bank to find food (we skipped lunch). Ended up going to a grocery for food to cook back at the apartment. Took another Tube back to our home base. Now, to rest and pack. Abby and I head to airport in the morning. Suzy and TD have a driver to pick them up as we leave.
Thanks to all for reading our rambling. We did this for our own memory as well as your enjoyment. BTW, our flight out tomorrow is US Air 733 to Charlotte @ 10am. We'll call when we get to Charlotte.
