Got up at 6:45. Don't even remember sleeping. We all are putting on layers this morning because it's 52 and breezy outside. First, took Tube to Picadilly to eat breakfast (McDonalds) then hopped the blue line of the bus tour. Drove through Kensington and Hyde Park (very ritzy), SoHo, Oxford Street for an hour. Got off the bus, walked through Hyde Park (the actual park) to Buckingham Palace. Stood by the front gate and waited crunched in with a kaziliion other people. Watched the changing of the guard ceremony. Impressive but not overly so. TD and I said that an American military ceremony would have been much more disciplined. We then took the Tube to Leicester Square to eat at a "French" restaurant called Pompidou. Crazy, We ate Chinese in Paris and French in London!
After lunch, TD and I took a Tube to Kings Cross to get the photo of Platform 9 3/4 from Harry Potter. We then walked a couple of blocks to the British Library where we saw the earliest known written form of the New Testament from the 4th century. Also saw an original copy of the Magna Carta, original scores from Handel, Beethoven, and Mozart. Oh yeah, also saw the original lyrics of Beatles songs written the back of envelopes. Very cool place.
We then walked through the neighborhood of Bloomsbury to get to the British Museum. Saw the Rosetta Stone, 5400 year old preserved body, an actual frieze from the Parthenon at Athens and more. We got kicked out at 6:00 when the place closed. TD and I then took the Tube to Oxford Street to meet the girls 6:30. We stood at a designated spot and found the girls among throngs of people. Abby and Suzy had gone on a shopping adventure on Oxford Steet. Abby had 2 giant bags of stuff. I think they were successful. We all then took the Tube back to our apartment and ate Chinese leftovers. We're planning to kick back, watch the Euro 2012 soccer final ( TD's request) and rest. Tomorrow's another busy day...
By the way, message us on this site and we communicate for the next 2 or 3 hours.

Leza Wow the actual Beatles lyrics maybe written by John or Paul. Did you take a pic. Can't wait to hear what the girls bought in London.:)
