Station "Papa", heading back toward Victoria, B.C. today after lunch and after a burial at sea. Virginia Kupitz, her husband, Victor Foster, worked on the old Weather Ship "Vancouver". He died at 43 years old and was buried at sea at Station "Papa" in 1978. He was ships crew but we don't know what capacity. His wife died in 2010 and wanted her ashes spread at Station "P" where her husband was.
Styrofoam cups came back and I think they're smaller than the last time I did this on the Laurier.
We lose TV and Internet for about the last 250 Nm heading out to"Papa". But we're working on rectifying that by moving the dome up to where the Sat B dome is and look at a 1.6 dish for the TeleSat "E-mail @ Sea" system. Rich Marriott (Chief Officer) thinks we can use a mini dish for the Sat B.
