Day 3
The train down was so bumpy and Scarlett felt really travel sick. When it's night time, a woman turns the seating area into bunkbeds and the top bunk only has two straps dangling from the ceiling to bed so you don't fall out. Scarlett slept in that bed and felt very insecure! We woke up about 6:30 and had breakfast, which wasn't very nice and we gave most of it away.
When we arrived at the hotel in Chiang Mai we were too tired to do anything so we had a sleep and then went to find somewhere to eat. We found a restaurant called Miss Chocolate and Stu had his first Thai green curry. Then we tried to find the Old Gate and Stu got the key wrong and thought it was 5k away and it was only 0.5k..oh well. So we had a look round the market instead.
For tea we all went to a food court which only did Thai food with a hint of Western such as chips and garlic bread. Scarlett ordered seafood noodles and regretted it when she saw it! It had baby octopus's and weird things! Stu tried one of the octopus's and found it very fishy and chewy. Then we had a walk around the night market and bought some souveniers and then got song thaw home which is a taxi kindof thing that fits about 10 people and has no windows.
Love you all and miss you, Stu and Scarlett xxxxxxxx
