Saz and Dave's travels
This morning we had an action plan formulated to avoid any repercussions of yesterday morning. This meant that as soon as we heard the anchor clanking its way up at 6:30am we leapt out of bed, pulled on some clothes and ran upstairs looking slightly bleary eyed. We managed to get upstairs before the boat actually started moving which meant we didn't feel nearly as sick as we did yesterday, mission accomplished! We spent the morning on the boat making its way back to Airlie Beach in the wind and rain. Some people went for a dive or a snorkel but we really didn't fancy it so stayed on board chatting with the other wimps! We got back to Airlie beach at about 11am where we retrieved our bags and checked back into stinky Magnums where we had to fork out another $25 to upgrade to a double room as the dorms are unbearable! The next step of the day was to head to Macdonalds where we got some lunch and bumped into about half the people and the crew from our boat. We must have all had the same idea! After some good old Maccy D's we looked round the shops for a bit then went for a snooze before heading out for some food and free drinks with the crew and all the people from the boat. It was nice chatting to people and a bit strange not to be rocked by the boat. Some peole felt they were still swaying as if on a boat hours after they had got onto dry land!
