Experiencing the Lord at work
How time flies! It's been 2 months in NYC. Three more weeks then I will be going to China and Myanmar. My internship at Citibank has been going really well, I'm learning a lot; also, connecting the believers at work is always something I've been praying for. The Lord answers the prayer.
Last week, I was talking to a co-worker about my summer plan after the internship. So we learned that we both go to similar churches, and that's how I was invited to the Friday morning prayer group.
Last Friday, it was my first time joining the small prayer group with Emily, Joe, Valerie, Kevin, and Mariah at work. It starts at 7:30, because they want to make sure the prayer meeting doesn't use work time, so we meeting early not to violate work policies. The prayer meeting is hosted in a small conference room, I was so excited to see that this group of believers are so passionate about Jesus and ready to be the light at work place.
Kevin is the prayer leader and he shared about how he passionately shared the gospel with a coworker in the past week. Then each of us talked about what's going on in our lives and our prayer requests. My heart was deeply touched. How amazing it is to find a group of strong believers, we pray for each other at work, share our passion to share the gospel, and support each other!! Everyone is so excited to hear about what's the Lord being doing in each others lives.
This is something I have been praying for ever since the first day of my internship. "Seek and you will find!" so true. It is so encouraging to see what's God doing among my co workers and I will be keep praying with this group.

Joseph Molleur A dedicated prayer group at Citibank--it's wonderful to hear such a thing exists, right in the "citadels of Wall Street." I wonder--how do Christians who work in high finance interpret Matthew 6:24?
sarahsong0302 Prof. Molleur, thanks for the good yet sharp comment. Colossians 3:23 and 1 Peter 4:11. I think Christians should be the light of the darkness, especially in the non-Christians tradition industries. "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God" 1 Corinthians 10:31.
