Hey hey!
Today I had a bit of a trek around Auckland, it's so much smaller than it looks on a map! I walked over to the Auckland Museum for the morning and part of the afternoon which was interesting, there's a massive nature park / reserve thing called "The Domain" which is beautiful, pretty similar to the Botanical Gardens in Sydney but a lot greener and lusher... Then i crossed the city and went to Victoria Park Market, wasn't really what I was expecting so I went and did some food shopping instead...
The hostel is really nice, massive (over 500 rooms) but friendly and there are all the advice bureaus and work agencies etc situated inside the building so it's easy to sort things out... It's situated on Queen Street which is the main street that leads down to the harbour and is similar to Oxford Street in London I would imagine... I've got a free Auckland day trip with my Kiwi Experience pass so will be using that up within the next few days, I think tomorrow I'll look for a job before moving on as it's going to be the easiest place to find temporary work and I might as well get full use of my visa seeing as i can only have it once!
The weather is very english, it's quite grey with a bit of sunshine but it is warmer than England, and it rained today for a bit so not quite the Sydney sunshine I've been use to!
Righty, time for tea and get my washing (I realised this morning i haven't done any washing since my 1st week in Sydney so don't have any clean clothes haha) lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
