Hi guys!

Today was my 1st day in the Kiwi Bus and the beginning of a new Kiwi Experience for me!! Left Auckland this morning very early and headed over to Thames, which is a little town at the bottom of a mountain somewhere between Auckland and the east coast... We had some lunch there and then headed over towards Whitianga (pronounced vit-e-anger) which is where I am for the night... We did a quick stop off at Cathedral Cove which was absolutely beautiful, the sun was really bright and I've got some awesome pictures that I'll put up when I have a more up to date and quicker computer!

We then went to Hot Water Beach which was really cool! It's basically a tiny bit of this beach that has boiling hot water when you dig into the sand, you only get it at certain times of the day though so we were really lucky to have it when we went! You can see the steam from the sand and it actually burns your feet... people go and dig holes to sit in but it would be way too hot for me!

So we got to Whitianga this evening, had some dinner and now I'm ready for bed... We leave for Rotorua tomorrow and are going to a Maori (pronounced maudi) evening with a Hungi etc (their giant BBQ's that they cook underground...) Should be really good!!

Hopefully will be down in Queenstown on the 22nd June until about the 5th July which fits in nicely with this winterfest they have to celebrate the start of winter... You can tell we're further down south because it's so cold, I dread to think what it'll be like when I get down to the south island!!

Anyhoo Happy Birthday to James and Grandma! I'm off to bed now, it's only 7.45 but I'm so tired!! Hope everythings good at home and you're still enjoying some sunshine!! Lots of love xxxxx
