After another overnight greyhound journey we arrived in Vancouver at 8.15am. We grabbed some breakfast and found our way to our hostel which was right by the beach. After checking in and having a shower we headed back to Vancouver city centre to have a look around. We walked around Chinatown which was super scary cos there is lots of poverty there we left there quickly! We then walked around the old part of the city which is called Gastown then all along the waterfront which was really lovely, especially as the weather was really gorgeous.
Unfortunately the next day the weather was not so nice! It literally poured all day! We went for a very wet stroll along the beach and then got the bus to Granville Island public market which was luckily all inside. Had a look around the market which is huge and had some nice lunch there too. We were going to go on to Stanley Park but it was just too wet so we decided to head to Victoria on Vancouver Island where we were staying that night. The journey to Victoria was a big fat pain though, we had to get a bus, train, bus, ferry and another bus! Not very enjoyable, especially when you are soaking wet! Anyway, our new hostel was nice and dry!
The next morning we got up nice and early and went whale watching!!! It was amazing. The boat we went on went ridiculously fast and me and james were at the front!!!! We saw 5 killer whales quite close and one humpback whale. We also saw some dolphin thing and lots of seals. We then had lunch on the harbour and then had a walk along the waterfront to the Parliament building. We then walked up to the lookout at the top of Beacon HIll and then went for a look around the shops! We went out for dinner as it was our last night in Canada and found a really nice restaurant where James ate the best steak he ever had!
