We spent about 4 days in Florenopolis, which was like a little surf resort - and had it not been for the weather it would have been lovely. Unfortunately the rain meant that there was very little for us to do in Florenopolis as it is pretty much set up for sun bathing and surfing. The hostel we stayed in would have been absolutely perfect in nice weather as each room opened straight outside onto decking however in pourin rain it didn't really do much for us!
The rain meant that we did venture into the next town along thought and discovered an absolutely amazing ice cream shop! Which is like pick and mix with icecream - just pick up a tub and and scoop whatever ice creams you want yourself from about 40 different types. The you an put fruit and all different swets and chocolate and nuts and hot chocolate sauce on top. Ben and Jerrys need to step aside - we may have to set up our own in England thought think I'd eat all the profits. Then at the end they weight it and it cost about 2 pounds for a tub about the size of hagen daaz / Ben and Jerrys which costs about a fiver. England seriously needs this. And yest I am gonna be fat by the time I leave Brasil as I realise all I seem to do is eat and talk about food!
We did manage to get one sunny day which we spent on the beach. The beach is beautiful here - much nicer than Copa Cobana and the sea was much cleaner and a little friendlier too - me and Sam managed to swim in it without nearly drowning!
As there wasn't much lse to do our detox after Rio didn't last much longer and we hit the Caprhinis again, had a good night out in a nearby town with a few too many cocktals and a bit of a rough day the next but as it was raining there was nothing better to do. Spent another night drinking at the hostel until they ran out of ingredients to make caprihinis. And the next day we realised we had made the same mistake yet again and had a few too many drinks the day before having to take a night train. And packing all our stuff into a backpack before midday with a hangover is not an easy task.
We made it to the night bus we were taking to Sao Paulo, and decided being hungover on the bus was maybe a good plan as at least it meant we slept on them! We arrived in Sao Paulo, at about 7am Wednesday morning, and were staying there less than 24 hours as we had to fly to Buenos Aires the next morning. This was a sham as although people had said there was not a lot to do in Soa Paulo it semed like a really nice city. We didnt have time to do much though so had a looka round and got some food. Early night (with no alcohol) as had to get up at 2am for out flight to Buenos Aires.
Apparently Buenos Aires is the party capital of South America, not to mentio the great red wine and steak - unfortunately I cannot comment on this as we have spent 3 days here and I have been in bed all the time. Yesterday I had to have an emergency doctor out and have a bacterial Laryngeous throat infection! Which is nice considering I can bearly swallow water let alone take advantage of the red wine, steak and night life! Hopefully after a few days of antibiotics i should be back on track!
So I cant really tell you much more other than the colour of the walls in my dorm are green! And i have spent a long time looking at them.
