Ahh, my last day was somewhat of a slow one. Went through my usual morning routine, only for Uncle Pat to return home around noon and tell me that Star (their poodle), had some sort of bladder infection and needed to be take to the doctors. So instead of going around Ashville, spending a few hours having fun, we had to wait until THREE to take Star to the vets, then we sat there until three thirty, because the vets was running late, and we didn't leave till four. Then when we got home, Aunt Diane wanted to wait until her tea finished brewing, so we sat there for even longer. Then we finally left. By that point it was late, so we went to dinner at a little Italian restaurant. We left dinner and headed to the Twisted Crepe (for the last time :'( ). On our way, we passed by a plaza area where a hula hoop celebration seemed to be going on. There were lots of kids, but also a few people in there 20's or so who were doing poi type things with the hula hoops. It was verrryy mesmerizing. So mesmerizing that I forgot to take a picture. Whoops. Hopefully Uncle Pat got a couple. He ended up having to drag me away from the performers. We continued our walk to the Twisted Crepe, and right as we turned onto the street it was on, a teen with blonde hair just comes hurtling down the street screaming "THE BRITISH ARE COMING!!! THE BRITISH ARE COMING!!!!" A group of boys his age followed not far behind laughing, and turns out it was just a prank/joke to get funny looks. I was so tempted to ask the guy "Are they bringing Doctor Who with them!?!?" but before I could Uncle Pat turned to me and said "Sarah, don't ever do drugs."
We wandered into the Twisted Crepe and I ordered a bliss called the Dirty Banana. It had caramel, nutella, and bananas. Yum! I was, of course, the first to finish. After that we left for home, but not before taking a picture in front of the Twisted Crepe sign, complete with a couple making out in the background (which I cropped out). Now I go home, to a crepe-less city or San Antonio. Boo. Good bye!
Things I learned today: A) Dogs can get bladder infections from being fat, B) I get really impatient with waiting and maps (or anything that'll slow me down, really), and C) Dred locks can form from having dirty hair.
