Hi all,
Im currently in Prague, Czech Republic for a few days. After Venice I went to Austria for two nights which was really nice. Austria reminds me a but of Paris...very grand, organised and tidy. I visited a few of the palaces went to a Mozart and Straus concert and a Schnapps museum where I had numerous shots. I also had a traditional Austrian meal which was ok except Austrian food tends to be quite heavy on the meat and potatoes and pretty bland. Their deserts however are delicious.
On our way to Prague we visited a town in Czech Republic called Csesky Krumlov a small heritage listed town with castles, churches and coblestoned windy streets. It was beautiful and had lots of character. We arrived in Prague in the early evening had dinner and drinks at the bar at our hotel. Prague is beautiful and one of my favourite cities so far. Each building is unique in its design and architecture. Prague has a river flowing through its centre with numerous grand bridges. Shopping here is also cheaper than the rest of Europe so I spent the day yesterday shopping in its main square for clothes. I went on a day time cruise which included lunch and sightseeing which was alot of fun. At night I went to a five storey nightclub which is apparently the largest in Europe. It was huge although a bit overwhelming. By 2:00 I had enough of the crowds and heat. Today Im relaxing with the girls in town...just ate Maccas and it never tasted so good...so over bread and potatoes! We have a huge day ahead of us tomorrow. We have to be on the bus at 4:30am to get to Munich for Octoberfest. Im really excited about the chance to experience this festival...although I hate beer so it could be interesting!
After Germany Im in Switzerland where I ll try and email again. I finish my tour next Saturday... I cant believe its gone so quickly!
Love Sarah
