We are all packed and ready for the off. Don't know why I did mine today ... I would much rather rush to get it done tomorrow!
Housemates have been very unsettled today, even though they enjoy their time at 'the hotel' they are always unsettled in the run up.
I don't know why but my checking of trip adviser reviews of the hotel has reached an all time high for me ! I don't know what difference it would make at this late stage. I think last years trip to Turkey has had a profound affect on me.
I have another worry.... We bought a new ultra light case, I'm not worried about going over the in generous 20kg at a cost of £35 each way ... Im not worried that the 'indestructible' fabric will fail, I'm not even worried that said case ends up on a different ryanair flight. No, I'm worried that it won't be waterproof and that it will rain heavily on our walk from the car to the bus stop and all our clothes will get wet. So just to be safe we have packed the towels in the hand luggage. I say hand luggage it's a small lightweight suitcase...Ah.... Not sure that's waterproof either
Oh well Vikki assures me that they are both indeed waterproof... But you won't catch me throwing a bucket of ice water over them to make sure.
Talking about buckets of iced water.vikki and I have decided to show solidarity to the cause by running into the sea and staying In As long as we can, in an effort to save water.
Of course we won't do this until Wednesday when we arrive in Pineda De mer.
No I had never heard of the resort before either. Near to lloret de mer but nothing like it apparently. A favourite amongst Spanish or Catalans and Russians.
Incidentally the majority of trip advisor reviews are from Russians and they like it! So I'm sure we will too.
Tomorrow night we have children, grandchild, sister and niece descending on us to wish us non voyage and help us devour a Thai feast (methinks the Thai food was the biggest draw but hey) so it won't be a quiet night.
I don't usually, but tonight I will pray that the Icelandic volcano erupts on Wednesday afternoon and delays our return by about 3 days as I'm sure we need at least 10 days break.
