Bloody sun beds!
Not risking the holiday wedges here either because our very palatial clean modern room overlooking the pool is up two flights of not cracked marble stairs
We have been transported to virtual heaven
'Its a bit basic' were the words of a couple of the very few English people here.... Compared to our last place this is the ritz!
The room is clean modern and the guy carrying our combined 38 kilos luggage allowance checked aircon and tv and lights before he left us,
We unpacked once I felt the chill of the aircon hit my smelly dirty hot ... Enough if that ... This isn't fifty shades of turkey
I even broke my own very sensible rules and stepped out into the midday sun without any sun protection and minus sun hat and hot country pashmina around my shoulders... In fact I looked far less Islamic than normal and far more Brit abroad ... Well I will be tomorrow with burned feet and arms!
Don't worry I'm all protected now and sitting in the sensible shade under a palm tree ... Makes mental note... Remember sun cream and insect repellant tomorrow

10 meters down a 'road' is the beach!
Well what passes for a beach ( no wonder the Turks maintained the beautiful north if Cyprus)
It's no el campello .... If I stood on the prom and aimed for the sea I could probably spit past all the sun beds
But our hotel bit of beach isn't busy and there is a jetty and the restaurant for all meals is just there so actually perfect ... How much beach do you want anyway??? More than space for a sunbed is a waste!

First a drink at the pool bar .... No beer! They are waiting a delivery... We were offered a full range of spirits but instead opted for rola cola ( homage to Peter Kay)
Lunch was wonderful a traditional Turkish hot and cold mezze
Lush green and red salads
There were so many drinks to choose from afraid to say I was greedy and had vişne soyu ... Sorry cherry squash followed by beer followed by coffee ... And each vessel was clean and uncracked!
I nearly forgot to mention a selection if 7 mini home made traditional Turkish cakes for dessert and 2 different types of melon
We made our first english friends at lunch in this mainly Turkish resort ... Turkish and Russian I think ... We are most deffinately in the extreme minority ... Not many people know english .....Which suits us

Although I hate it when they speak more than I know... I want to say no please stop there don't expand or elaborate or ask me any questions for which I'm not prepared!
Quick change in the room ... The clean room.... Attend to protection ... Find shakiest part of pool and holiday has begun!
Pool is empty mainly due to the temperature ... These locals think its cold!
It's getting busy by the pool now.., our new friends tell us that's because just in the corner by the pool is where they cool and serve snacks at 4! Burgers chips chicken and salad! Please no more food!
