Alas the holiday wedges will remain unworn :(
For health and safety reasons .... It would be too dangerous to navigate from our room and down the three steps and across a 10 metre area to the hotel exit
In fact my entire wardrobe may just stay in the case as my charity shop chic is far too high class for the environment
The reviews were bad but they merely scratched the mouldy surface
The rep is due tomorrow morning for a welcome meeting .,. Welcome to your holiday nightmare!
Didn't realise by paying extra for the sea or pool view that we were actually paying for drunk Russians outside the room ... No I mean I could touch them if I opened the window! And loud banging music ... At least the music died down by 11. I would rather have paid less for a room round the back overlooking the wasteland ... I mean the area the hotel us using to dum furniture and fixtures that are no longer required ... That's if they can be bothered to move them from outside our room
Kinda thinking that maybe us cheap Brits (£443 cheap) were given the worst rooms ... Not... A lovely Turkish couple that sat with us for dinner asked if our room was nice , them also fearing that the Turks were allocated the worst rooms it appears they operate equality of access to bad rooms
Our bed isn't even a bed really I think it's a sofa base but I have to say it is comfy
The door does lock, which was one if vikkis fears, unfortunately the wood has rotten away in places and daylight (and bugs get through).
The room is very very small clean though except for the mould on the back of the bathroom door oh and the black grime at the join if the loo seat. So it's just the bathroom that's not clean ... I clean bathrooms several time a week I can sort this!
Just the matter of air con that couldn't keep an iceberg cool
There's no where to put our stuff? 4 coat hangers no drawers nothing... It's ok my stuff is staying in the case just in case I need a quick getaway ... And I wouldn't want to leave behind my 100% viscose sun dress! The guy on the market said it was cotton!
We had beer on arrival ... We didn't shower because we figured after getting up at 3 and travelling all day we were probably cleaner than the hotel.
We were just deciding what to do when the sound and vibration of the stampede signalled it was supper time so we figured we should just go for it... Lets see just how bad this gets... Except for the greedy Brits Germans and Eastern Europeans it was a pleasant experience ... Oh of course the cats ... I love them actually but not when they rub ya legs and try and get you to feed them.. And then when they use a high chair as a litter tray... There werent any babies at dinner to be fair
If you haven't vomited yet let me tell you the worst bit ... They ran out of red wine ... I had white instead ... Warm ... And I think non alcoholic because I should have been drunk by that point
Worst of all still the ice machine had broken so I had to make do with just cold water in my generous serving if raki! It was a night cap ... Anything to help me sleep over the banging base!
I don't think all inclusive is for us! We don't drink enough to ever get our money's worth from this holiday
But hey vikki and I are vet resilient and let's face it we only have to wait til next may before we can go somewhere nice and warm .... With air con that works!
I'm gonna have to sign off I'm almost expiring with the heat! The aircon unit has been winking amber light at me for the last hour ... I though it was a silent disco ... I sat up in the hope that after turning the blinking light green it might offer a cool breeze ... Unfortunately not so instead I will enjoy my own personal light show
On the up side .... Turgutreis is lovely and can't wait to see it in daylight
