Hi all...it's the male perspective on Hong kong..it's really cool, fast and full of people...the sights and sounds and smells (some of them) are amazing and the gap between the haves and the have nots is masssive. Anyway back to today. Been another busy day...had a great brunch not far from N&P's flat and then took the star ferry to Kowloon so the ladies could do some shopping. Sarah and Petra then shifted into military mode for shopping whilst Nick and I looked on in reluctant awe..The protocol for this shopping thing is something of a covert affair...the stalls are not actually where the goods are kept, they are actually kept in v dingy residential blocks..Sarah and petra got hot lead on some Prada shnizzle and they were escorted up into a particularly shady block by a stall holder into a room not fit to hold the cat swinging world cup...Nick and I were asked to leave the room for obv reasons of height and size so we did..I was reluctant as I do not trust others easily but Nick seemed pretty chilled and this was reassuring plus the fact that he just got on and started shopping for DVD's which again made me feel that this was normal practice...the ladies returned victorious and were v happy with their purchases...we the caught some lunch...dim sum 0 terryaki beef 1..dim sum very disappointing indeed..travellled back to HK central via metro (V fast and efficient) and procured some air travel sleeping aids from a local pharmacy...been reliably informed that they are very good ad we are looking forward to good food, light shows and Ice Bars this eve..over and out..Steve
