As you all probably know I am in Australia now! An to say it's hot is an understatement! It's about 35 degrees but about 80% humidity! So far I have spent most of my days by the lagoon/swimming pool by the sea front as you can't swim in the sea because of the jelly fish! After I left Hong Kong I arrived in Auckland 12hrs later, absolutly knackered as I didn't manage to get any sleep as I was watching loads of films. So I got to the hotel I'd booked near the airport and rang ben who lives in NZ had a chat then slept until my next flight to Cairns. Got here and went to the hostel which is very nice and spacious! Although the air conditioning could work a little better! I met the other girl who was in the room she's from London. On Thursday we went to a little town called Karunda up in the Tablelands of north Queensland. It was a nice little village an we got talking to loads if locals and had a look around the markets. In the afternoon I went to go and book my trip along the east coast. So far I've booked a 14000ft skydive, sailing on the Whitsunday Islands, and then a 4WD tour around Frazer Island. I'm stopping off at lots of places along the way so I'm due to arrive in Brisbane around 17th March to meet up with Rachel and Lizzie who I met in India and then me and stace met them again in the land of Thai! That night Priscilla's (girl from London) mate flew in from Singapore so we had a chat an then had an early night as they were doing a dive the next day. Friday I met up with a guy I no from hebden, Max, and then went and bought The Beach as I've been wanting to read it since going there. Friday night me the two girls went out into Cairns there are to place to go out her one is the Woolshed and the second is Gilligans. We went to gilligans and took advantage of the two for ones! Got pretty drunk and then jus as we were leaving we met two guys from Prenton (Birkenhead) and we got talking turns out he works with a guy I know - very small world! Saturday the girls left to go down to mission beach, where I am goin next! A new guy then moved into the dorm and was greeted by a hungover grunt from me!! So after a day at the lagoon I perked up a little and me and Ian (new guy) went to gilligans wasn't a late one tho was home and in bed by 1! Sunday morning I was woken up by a phone called from stace, col, Anna, Joan etc singing fight for this love down the phone to me which was a nice suprise! It's still seems very strange that as I was just waking up from my night out the girls were just starting there's! A day at the hostel was had as the storms were bad today and heavy down pours, although was refreshing in the heat. I also booked tickets for me and ben to go to creamfields australia in Sydney on may 1st, I've changed my flight to NZ as I thought this was a too good a opertunity to miss out on! Move on down the coast tomo to Mission beach to do my skydive!! Love Ads x
