We arrived via high speed rail to
Florence ( Firenze ) around 1 PM Tuesday 4/2. Very quiet train ride zooming past cars on highway next to us at 300 km / hr !! Even free beverages and snacks served in out 1st class cabin . Upon arrival ( after consulting the map ) we hoofed it to our nice Hotel Kraft only about 5 blocks away . Started by a Swiss family in the 1800's it very clean and comfortable boutique hotel . The best part of our room was the balcony where we could take in the fresh air and rest a bit after exploring the city . Nice breakfast included served every am best of all rooftop patio seating with a view of the city ! All of the staff were helpful and friendly and took much pride in their work .
