Made it to Milan ! Plane ride was really painless with all the free movies right at your seat - we did upgrade to economy plus which gave plenty to leg room .
Milan is quite a large city and we checked into our hotel right by the train station after a shuttle bus ride from airport - hotel Michelangelo . 12 th floor room so had an awesome view of statione centrale - Wow what a large impressive train station - designed by Mussolini - it is sort of an Italian post industrial trophy statement - a bit ugly but at the same time powerful . Wow - feeling like we want to crash on that nice cozy bed but will go out exploring instead and to eat ( of course ). With only 2 hours of sleep in the plane we feel a bit like walking zombies ....
We make our way a few blocks from the hotel and stumble into :) a place serving lunch - all Italians in here..ordered a huge salad with tuna and fresh mozzarella - yum !! Pasta will have to wait.
