Temperature: 28 °C, partially cloudy. Wildlife: Tiger Sharks, Bull Sharks, Whaler Sharks, Reef Sharks, Dingoes. Highlights: Fraser Island was a real surprise, the largest sand island with its magnificent fresh water lakes, coloured sands, fresh springs, and wildly varying rainforests, Steve went for an aerial view from a tiny plane. After crossing the Tiger sharks breeding ground we made our way to the safer waters of Rainbow beach, where we had an amazing BBQ on the beach with a Norwegian hitchhiker we picked up. Disappointments: First casualty - dive log books gone missing, and not being able to go shark fishing. Thoughts: Wish we had got a proper 4x4 and not some pansy SUV for Fraser.
