Today started as most days on this holiday ... Not as early as we planned. Today we had decided that we would visit some of the smithsonian museums. The two we targeted were the Air and Space museum and the Natural History Museum. The Air and Space Museum is huge and hugely popular. We spent about 2.5hrs here. Okay, so the journey to Washington was a little hairy. There was quite bad turbulence between St Louis and Philadelphia, however the worst was to come on the 30 minute flight between Philly and Baltimore. For the last three days we have been enjoying the kindness and hospitality of the gateway to the west - St Louis. The hotel we are staying in is very nice and embraces the local area and some of the history, including a bronze statue setting of the journey westward. Today was our last day in NYC. Michael decided he would have a quiet morning and we would meet later on at TGI Fridays. I left the hotel at about 10.30am to head to 5th Avenue and the mecca - Tiffany. I weaved my way through the streets, crossing over parks, streets and avenues so that I could wander along 5th.
