Hey

Have spent the last couple of days downtown and at the beach in santa monica. this place reminds me of singapore, it has the ethnic diversity, loads of different stuff from Hollywood to the beach to the most gorgeous churches and civic buildings and all with a blue sky. And there is always something happening and the people generally are happy and very friendly. 

Apparently California is in heat wave and it is really warm but i don't think it is that hot. There have been too really bad fires here which i did not have time to mention the other day. One in the Hollywood Hills, in the cayon next to the sign, the day I arrived and i did see a little smoke and one on a resort island Catalina.

Some of the locals are complaining that the smoke has stirred all their allergies up and I have sniffed a couple of times so maybe they are right.

Only a couple of days left and I am gonna be sad to leave here. It is really alive (and . . . it has not rained) and life is just exciting here but I guess, Vegas may be even crazier!
