Hey Have spent the last couple of days downtown and at the beach in santa monica. this place reminds me of singapore, it has the ethnic diversity, loads of different stuff from Hollywood to the beach to the most gorgeous churches and civic buildings and all with a blue sky. And there is always something happening and the people generally are happy and very friendly.  Apparently California is in heat wave and it is really warm but i don't think it is that hot...

Well, I am here in Tinsel Town and I have not been chucked out yet! Have been so worried about La as a lot of other travellers in Aus etc dissed it big time even the americans I have met. However maybe I have bad taste but it is not bad at all. Some of it is ugly and the driving is atrocious.
