After the tent was dried we packed it up again and headed to tops supermarket to get some breakfast which was a chicken sub roll made to order and some other little nibbles for getting a little wifi from dunkin donuts this time I got a delicious medium chocolate milkshake which was about a litre and Rich got a coffee which we drank whilst waiting for the heavy rain which had come in to clear before heading up to Watkins Glen. Firstly we wanted to try get a shower as we hadn't had one since Washington due to there not being any at sugar hill but unfortunately the showers were only for campers and we weren't prepared to pay $26 for one especially when there was some cold ones at the swimming pool. After a painfully cold but refreshing shower we got our bits sorted and headed for the gorge. We decided to walk up the top Indian trail above the gorge first so we would walk down with the waterfalls which turned out a good move the walk up here was much kinder than walking up in the gorge would have been!
The whole gorge was pretty incredible to see with several impressive waterfalls along the way. The only downside was due to the recent rain the water was a muddy brown and gushing through very hard which made the pictures not as good as they would have been if the water is clear but you can't win them all.
We ended up leaving the park around 8:30 quickly stopping to grab another disposable bbq and some burgers then headed back to sugar hill for our final night camping.
The next morning we packed up the bits early and after a stop at the supermarket we headed down to Ricketts Glen state park in Pennsylvania.
