Thanks for all the messages so far guys! We´ve been pretty lucky with the hostel we´re in at the moment-we´re in a 4 bed dorm but we happen to be the only 2 people there. We´re sharing a bathroom but it´s all very clean and nice. This place (lime house) seems to be very relaxed-we´ve been ploughing through books since we´ve been here! The main benefit of being in a hostel is definitely having a kitchen! Whilst we were on our gap tour we had to eat out every night, which is lovely, but i didn´t think I´d ever want vegetables so much! Can´t wait for a roast when we get back Mum!
After wandering around for a few days in BA we´ve both noticed that we feel very safe here, maybe because it´s less busy than Rio and maybe more European than some of the other places we´ve visited. An American guy in our hostel was giving us a history lesson and apparantly Bueonos Aires was designed by the same guy that designed Paris. Yesterday Sam went to watch a football match with some of the guys from our gap tour, and some of the girls and I headed to one of the local markets for some well deserved retail therapy, although it turned out to be mainly antiques. Today we went to the bus station (via everywhere else but the bus station-we got a bit lost!) and booked our bus tickets to Mendoza! We leave on the 30th at around 7pm and should arrive no later than half 8/9ish. We plan to stay there for 3 nights and hopefully we should be able to cram in a bit of wine tasting, horse riding and rafting!
