Sallys Worldwide Adventure
The first night we got to Cairns England were playing, so went to watch them lose and spent the next day regretting it! I spent the next day just sunbathing by the pool at the hostel all day.
The next day thou we were booked on a Trib up to Cape Tribulation for a couple of days. On our way up we stopped ina place called Port Douglas and had a guided walk through the rainforest at mossan Gourge telling us all about the different plants and stuff. Then we went on a river cruise down the Daintree River and saw 3 crocodiles, 2 big ones and one tiny baby one. but the big ones didnt move they just layed there, one of them had there mouth open like they were just waiting to eat you!!
We stayed at a place called PK's jungles, which was cool but the locals in the bar were a bit weird and scary! Me and Elad went fishing one night but we didnt realise that under the water there was loads of rocks so the line kept getting stuck and breaking off, and the only time we got a bite we were too busy playing with a little dog that had walked over that we didnt notice till the rod fell over, and by that time we'd lost it!
Got back to Cairns at about 8 and met up with Sophie and a couple of her friends and went out for dinner and then got some dribnk and sat in the hostel playing cards! The hostel was real nice too, it had normal single beds not bunk beds which was so so good!!
I went on a day trip out to the Great Barrier reef and went on 2 dives. Its really buitiful, but no where near as good as i thought it would be. I best things I saw was octupus and cuttle fish which looks just like a big rock with eyes! I didnt see any sharks but Sophie did on her dive so I was quite upset that I missed them!
We hired a car and drove out to the table Lands looking at lots of different lakes and waterfalls. My frav by far was the one from the Timoti advert! Saw some really cool wierd aold trees too!
Other than that thou I didnt really get up to much in Cairns! Me and Sophie had both had enough of going out drinking, so only went out a couple of times. And there didnt seem to much to do in the day execpt boat trips. Cairns doesnt even have a beach, which i was really suprised about, its got a lagoon which is quicte nice but no where near the same as being on a beach.
