We needed to let our aching bodies recover from ski school, or more accurately, recover from the abuse of constantly getting up from falls, collisions with snow Walls and overshooting the stop zone. When actually on skis it's just a bit of knee strain.
So we went to taanaka thermal valley and baths.
Well it was hot, after 20 mins in the mineral pool we were lobster red and thought a cold shower sounded good ( it must affect the brain).
We compromised by going in the outdoor pool a mere 37 deg c.
It certainly eased or muscles.
The termal valley was a series of boiling mud pools and steaming water pools, see the burping mud video.
It is all in the shadow of mt doom in mordor ( for you lord of the rings freaks)
