We decided to have an evening ride on the Wellington cable car. It was shown on the map as a black line with a large picture of a tram on it.
So we walked to the start of the line, found nothing, then walked to the location of the tram, nothing.
Now we were half way up the hillside, hot and ready for food(we had been told the cafe at the top was good),
This was when we heard the noise of the cable car and after investigation found it emerging from a tunnel below the buildings.
We retraced our route to find a sign on the road we had missed 1hr earlier which indicated the cable car was down an alley!
Relieved we paid up, took 5 minutes max to get to the top, got out to find the cafe closed, the view blocked by large trees, so we came down the hill and went to a pub.
The moral of this story is that something good always turns up
Whilst in the pub England got stuffed by nz at rugby league, on a huge screen, they new we were english.
