On the second we wake to find that the everything seems to back to normal. We mission to the bus station to buy our ticket to Punta Del Este. Four pound fifty for a 2 hour coach journey can't be bad. Walking back via the beach we chill out there for the rest of the day. We go home to book the next few days hostels and stay at the hostel knowing that Montevideo has nothing more to offer. On the third we wake early, grab a taxi wanting to leave the dindge hole ASAP. No problems with the coach journey and we find the new hostel easily enough. Hostel del patio seems to be a fitting name for it as all the rooms overlook a huge... Way for it... Patio!! The hostels nice, rooms are a good size and after dumping our bags we grab a map and head for the beach. Being just outside Punta the beach still runs into the plata de rio river so the water isn't clear but cleaner than Montevideo. After a successful exploration we head back to get ready to head to Punta for a few drinks to see what it has to offer. Getting a 20 minute bus there we arrive in vibrant little beach town that is quite obviously quite a rich place. The street is washed with a sea of pastel coloured Ralph Lauren polos with jumpers loosely tied round the neck. We settle in a bar and watch the night draw in, like in BsAs the night seems to start at about 1ish. Missing the last bus I'm forced to walk back to the hostel taking about an hour and a half to do so. The next day consists of more sun sea and beach and heading to punta in the night, without drinking to see what else is there. Turns out whether you're drunk or not it still has much of the same. Rich looking people, over priced bars, wicked hotels and a harbour lined with huge yachts. Once you get over the fact and accept this isn't really your life it seems to be a really cool place.
