When we wake up we decide to follow the managers suggestion and head down to the harbour to join in the party. About 2 minutes down the road a bucket of water gets poured off the balcony and soaks the pair of us. As we get closer to the harbour the bucket throwing balconies become more frequent as well as the added small children armed with water pistols poised to attack any unsuspecting passer by. When we reach the harbour there is a huge water fight although the weapon of choice seems to be cider or beer. After an hour or so I become conscious of my wallet and go back to drop it off to get fully involved. Returning after an hour the fight is over and the clean up has started. A little gutted we head back to have a nap and get ready for the night. Waking up at 9ish we shower and get a few beers in. Heading out at 11 we discover that nothing is open, not even the strip of main bars. Cutting our loses and wanting anywhere with a bar we settle in a pizzeria to see in the new year. About half 12 mike Tyson comes to the pizzeria to buy a beer and we decide to tag along. By this point the bars on the main strip are open so we party the night away with a group of Uruguayan locals. The following morning NOTHING is open so it ends up being a bit of a nothing day where we end up playing table tennis for the majority of it.
