Just thought I'd send a brief update of our last few days.
Well, the Great Ocean Road trip was fantastic! We certainly had lots of fun and enjoyed seeing the different natural landmarks along the way!
We spent Sunday morning at St Kilda market which was really good. There were lots of craft stalls with lots of lovely hand made gifts so we bought a few things. I got some gorgeous slippers - how practical! We then got the tram back to the city centre and got off at the Arts Centre market which was a bit similar to the St Kilda one but still worth a browse! The afternoon was then spent wandering around the shops doing what I do best and we then made our way back to the hostel about 4pm and I wrote my journal whilst Chris finished another book.
Today has been a pretty disappointing day to be honest. We went on the Neighbours tour this morning which was really unprofessional and pretty rubbish to be honest. First of all we were told that we would be collected at 8am but the bus didn't come until 8.30am so we were freezing! We first visited Erinsborough high school which is just a normal school which they put a prop up in front of. The tour guide had one of the props so we got a touristy photo and then we drove to Ramsay Street. This street is a real street and is actually called Pin Oak Court. We got some photos outside each house but the weather was awful so we were dodging the showers. We drove passed the studio which we could just about see from the road and then we headed to our final stop to meet our star in St Kilda. The star was Janelle who was really lovely so she made the trip worth while really. We got a photo with her and she signed our souvenir postcard for us which was nice. Then we went back to the city. It was a shame really as it was all stop start stop start, the tour guide didn't give us any facts or figures or insights and it was all just slap dash and disappointing. Oh well, we saw Ramsay street which is the cool thing and we hugged Janelle!
Well, we spent the afternoon shopping as we were a bit fed up after the morning and we both got a few things so are now happy again! Serioulsy, Melbourne is shopping central!
Well, tonight we've got the auction of the tours so we're just going to have beans on toast and then have an early night as we're really tired. How exciting!
Well, that's pretty much it from us! We're planning on visitng the Melbourne Museum tomorrow and the Botanic Gardens and then we're still deciding on how to spend our last day on Wednesday!
