Well it is 7.00 am and I've arrived in Xian after a surprisingly comfy train journey. The beds were softer than the dorm bunks in Sanlitun!
Mum - I used the pacsafe for the first time you'll be glad to know! I shoved all my valuables into it when I slept and it was fine. I didn't need it at the last hostel because there were lockable safes in every room :)
Outside the station i bought a bottle of water and what i thought was a bread bun (actually a battered deep fried date covered in sesame :/ )...SO I ended up walking around Xian in pyjama bottoms and eating a donut at 7am trying to figure out what to do next when I came across a posh hotel. I just hovered around their lobby and connected to their wifi and managed at last to get hold of my hostel! 30 minutes later here I am in a mini bus after being met with my name on a sign (!!!) being driven backwards down the street on my way to the hostel. All is good!

Mum Dear Sarah, These last two blogs are SO funny to read! It does not surprise me that you missed the train- perhaps by the time you get back to the UK you timekeeping and organisation will be much better!!! Let us know how the new hostel is and what you are getting up to. Love Mum xxxx
Adam Classic Jones time keeping. Add an hour MINIMUM to anything. Glad you got to your hostel safely and I see you've discovered that all Chinese mattresses are insanely thin. Enjoy Xian!
Alma Such exciting things happening, it's hard to keep up with your activities! Glad all is going well and you are coping with the minor problems. Lots of love & a big hug. xxx
Neil Sounds like you're getting into it! How are you getting on with a veggie diet? Is everything identifiable? Hope you have better luck than we did with dim sum in Liverpool! love Dad X
