The english blog has been on hold for four months, oops... Looks like the latest english update has been so ages ago that I´d just better list a few things happened so far: to begin with we finally left the tourist route for a good while. At least that´s what you feel the moment you step in to Paraquay. The difference between Ciudad del Este, Paraquay and Foz de Iquazu, Brazil is some tens of thousends of tourists, I quess =)
So our trip continued all the way down to Ushuai in Argentina. Afterwards we started to climb back up north on the Chilean side. In the south we did some hikes in some brilliant mountain scenary. We ended up spending some two months in total in Chile. Maybe the weirdest thing there was volunteering on a "farm" of a grazy hippie in the middle of nowhere on the Chilean coast. It was some week.
We rolled up in Chile all the way to Valparaiso and then headed back to Argentina over the Andies. Puente del Inca was a neat little place near Acuncacua, the highest mountain on the western hemisphere. Afterwards we returned to lowlands in Mendoza where we enjoyed some wine and great food. Then more to the east, via Cordoba, Santa Fe and to north to a little villag e called carlos Pellegrini. There we saw caimans and lot of birds. Neat place all in all.
The last Argentinian visit for this trip was the ultra awesome Iquazu falls, the biggest waterfalls on earth, I think. Just us, a zillion tourist and a lot of water. So much that we just had to go check it from the Brasilian side as well.
After that we arrived to Paraquay. A country wich we know next to nothing about but wich still seems really nice and relaxed. It´s the middle of their "winter" I quess. It´s just hard to believe when I´m sweating like hell in the Capital, Asuncion. We´ll stay here some 5 nights more because Satu has some workstuff to do. Luckily we´ve found many hosts so well get to know some people from here and save a bit of money. Everything else in Paraquay seems to be dirt cheap. Accomodation is just cheap. And it´s so nice to go to an ATM and pick up a million. Well, that´s Paraquain Guaranis, not worth even 200 € but still.
Back to busines this year =)
