In the afternoon we managed to complete 3 sights of Cali with no real planning. We took a taxi to a local park, which turned out to be where a cute old church (Iglesia de San Antonio) was perched high on a hill looking out over the city. On our wander back to the hotel we came across a popular river-side park with lots of decorated cat statues, this gold one was probably the most simple of some unusual quirky artwork. We set out in search of a few restaurants mentioned on trip advisor but being Sunday everything seemed to be closed. On our next long walk up and down each side of the river in search of an open restaurant we came across the Iglesia de la Merced - the beautiful blue and white church which is the oldest in Cali. Eventually we found a place for dinner which had the cool windmill mural. In the evening we headed out to the airport for our late night flight to Bogota - an interesting experience with our first flight with a budget airline, Viva Colombia.
