So bus drive to Kuala Kansa the van to edge of HUGE lake with lots of island! boat to rural island for Homestay with Muslimm family! Simple hut can see through floor boards to the ground. island about 8 acres in size.

Played local game of changa and then had traditional meal ! everything very hot and spicy. went to bed under mosqito next sharing our room with geckos and the ocasional MONKEY!

Bad heat rash ! Next day viseted another island with about 250 people in village. went for walk in bush looking out for elephants. everyone got attacked by leeches and bled for ages ! doesnt hurt but the thort of the sucking on ur blood is gross! after 40 min treck through bush arrived beautiful waterfall where evryone went 4 swim. final leech check before returning to our homestay. 6 of us (me han becca Lauren(oz) Daan and Ry(canadian) went for kyak around islands for bout 2hrs! saw water buffalo !!! and various local birds and wildlife.

back to island for cold hose shower and chill out on water front then another traditional meal this time wearing sarongs eating on the floor and only with ur right hand (Left one is used to wipe ur bum!!!) Good night but again food very spicy.

Leave in morning for penang.
