Arrived Surfers paradise late afternoon. Very surprised at how built up it is. felt like I was in Miami! Spent the evening touring around the city. Very touristy. A prime destination for Australian Holiday makers. DAY 50 Spent all day at the water park. Was a brilliant day out and rides were brilliant! Worth the money and time queing up. Byron Bay Arrived Byron bay in the after noon, our driver organised free food and drinks at Cheeky monkeys! Danced most of the night good music but club bit trashy! watched people do stupid stuff to win Prizes! Staying at the Arts Factory - very alternative place hammoks over a pond and decking accomodation in tipis. Very hot in nights. Had a relaxing day went to the beach and a walk around the small town. Got the Oz experience bus very early. 9 hour drive to Coffs harbour. Staying at Aussitel backpackers. Lovely hostel very small but nice atmospehere. Had a go at scuba diving in the pool. loved it. Flight was a bit dodgey! No Tv or films but spare seats so had a good sleep on the way over to Sydney.
