Whitsundays, let me tell you this place is paradise. Made up of 74 islands, the main island called Whitehaven Beach has sand made 98% of silicon, its perfectly round and you can clean your jewellery with it!! We decided to book a 3 day cruise around the islands incorporating some diving as Seh and I are keen divers now, and after our Barrier Reef experience we were determined to get better and really get a grip of this diving lark. The Boat had 5 crew and 21 passengers, everyone was really nice and the boat was very spacious and Seh and I had a lovely double bed!! (hehe) Anyway enough about all that crap lets talk about the diving...jesus, it really blew my mind. We done three dives in total and the staff knew pretty much straight away we had dived before and had the knack of it, which was great for us as we got to do some really special dives. As you can see from the photos the fish are first amazing, but the coral i seriously have never seen anything like it in my life. The pictures really dont do it justice and its so VAST, there is just miles of it. the guys diving before us saw a black tipped reef shark, iw as gutted we didnt see that!! :( however we saw some great sites and even dived through caves and went down to about 14meters which is pretty deep for newbs. After all the diving the instructor told us we should do our PADI as we are both really good and confident in the water! so i think when we get to sydney and Cobb1 & Barne arrive we will come back up and show them this place and maybe book in our PADI course. Whitsundays was one of those moments you will always remember and i could be happy with doing nothing else for the rest of my life as it really was that special! In the evening we didnt sleep much as the heat was unbearable, sehs little sweaty pits in my face wasnt to appealing!! Each Night we got a little merry and met some really special people!! So after this amazing trip we travelled around 800kms down south to do our Fraser Island Experience, in a nutshell...you rent a 4x4 for three days with 11 people and you get all camping equipment, you catch a ferry to an island with no roads just sand and hills, hammer the 4x4 on dunes then set up your tent and sleep for the night!! watch out for dingos and the beach is a motorway so you have to watch out for trafiic! very bizzare...we got drunk ALOT here and as you can see from the photos, seh was loving the dancing yet again LOL. We had alot of fun here and it really is one of those things not many people can say they have done!! After this amazing week we are off to Brissy..or for you pale english..BRISBANE..xx
