So AUSTRALIA! as you all know we have been so excited about this place, as we are going to be spending half of our trip in OZ fingers crosed we like it! Let me tell you that the flight over was bloody awful, so much turbulence..on the plane i met 2 irish guys and they talked the whole bloody trip! they were really nice though so i didnt mind so much, it turns out they are in our hostel in Cairns so we talked the whole 7 hour flight. As we began to land you could see the barrier reef from the plane, so breathtaking! Once we got to the the hostel you could immediatly tell this was party town! a huge hostel titled "ritz of hostels" - "Gilligans" turns out the irish guys on the plane are in the room next door. So the first night was a BIG ONE! we went out and brought some pasta and chicken and the group grew and included two girls from Ascot and a bird from London, the food was nice they cooked then went out...it was messy and in the place called the woolshed everyone is jiving on tables..very bizarre im sure barne would have loved it! Seh and I Absoloutly loved Cairns, lots of lovely people and the lagoon was fantastic i have never seen so many beautiful people in one place. We partied for three days in cairns taking my total hours sleep to 14 hours in 5 days! so we booked a trip to Cape Tribulation, where the Barrier Reef meets the Jungle, its the only place in the WORLD where two heritage sites meet. Excited about the trip and excited abou getting some sleep!! Cairns is brilliant and the nightlife really is special, perhaps more so for us because we met such lovely people!
