so...it's been a pretty fun weekend here in Providence. on Saturday we all went to the park and played footie for a while which was really fun (altho i have to say i was soooooo tired after as thats probably the most exercise i've done in like 6 months!). And then when i woke up on Sunday morning it was snowing! i know....snow! haven't seen that in a while. it carried on snowing almost all day which was great 'cos it meant we could go out tobogganing (or what Americans call 'sledding' - that's another thing i'm getting used to, all the different words they have...like 'chapstick' instead of lipbalm and 'sneaker' instead of shoe!). anyway so yeh we got all dressed in our winter gear and went out in the snow - that was great fun, altho very very cold! (i made a little film of it all which should be up on here soon for you all to see) then we made a pretty big snowman, with twigs for arms and stones for the eyes and nose (we didn't have a carrot!). i think that someone knocked it over though, cos we couldn't see it a few hours later when we drove past the park!

anyway so yeh it was a great weekend. today i had a little wander round some shops - it's all so cheap. Everything's pretty much almost half price (when you convert it into pounds that is). then i went to pick the boys up from school and we went to see this installation art in a little gallery, which was basically a big white room with stuff drawn on the walls with green tape. it was really cool...and we got to do some drawings on the walls with tape too - to the theme of under the sea (have a look at my pics or at their flickr site - www.flickr.com/photos/thetapeartists). i think they were doing some sort of stop-motion animation thing and the guy was showing us some of it which was AMAZING!

we also went back to that old library i mentioned in a previous post - i love that place, it's so old fashioned and eerily still and silent.

i think i'm gonna go wander round the other side of town tomorrow - go do some shopping in the mall and just generally explore.
