17th October 2007- Fireshow and music show.
Did yoga in the studio which was cool and went to watch Cockatoo Paul's show. He is one man band and manages to sing as well. He was extremely funny and entertaining!Kathy went to the cinema so I sat with the Welsh and Irish girls from the tippee. Had a really cool night. The fire show was amazing. A girl who was no older that 11 was swinging fire rings around. I was really worries at one point but then realised shehad probably been doing this for a few years. It seemed to be a family businness. Very impressive.

Checked out of the tippee which was quite cool but fine once you were wrapped up in your sleeping bag. Got picked up fro our surf lesson. We were given instructions and tutoring for about 45 mins on the beach before we got out to the wave. We attempted to get up on our boards but with currents were to strong so actually getting out to catch the waves was really difficult so we moved down the beach. Unfortunately I had taken a dislike to the surf instructor who had said while he was teaching us "Its really easy". Well of course it is easy for someone who has been surfing 20 years! He really annoyed me and kept telling the whole group to come out in a straight line which is what the group were trying to do! However with waves coming crashing towards you it was quite difficult. The other instructor was a bit nicer but was taking photos of us which put me off, as I was frightened of crashing into him on my surfboard. Started to enjoy myself once I got a bit more confident but can honestly say I need a lot of practice. Surfing involves co-ordination and balance which are two things I don't really have. I think I must have inherited Mums skills in this area. Whereas Gareth has sporting abilty and brains! Surely this is slightly unfair! All in all I enjoyed the morning but I'm glad I did not do the two day surf trip. Also the following morning I was aching all over.
Got back to the hostel got changed took photos and became sad about leaving the Arts Factory. Got the overnight Greyhound to Sydney! (12 hours so much fun!)
