Day started with a long climb out of Inveraray and feel we are really in the Highlands. After a few miles we reached the shores of Loch Awe and cycled around the top of it.
Heading west to the coast again we crossed over the iron bridge at Connel with great views of Lock Etive to our right and the Isle of Mull across the Sea on our left.
We followed the coast road with views of stunning desolate beaches, and hilly islands and Peninsulas across the water.
Inland, the higher peaks were visible. Skiting the Forrest of Appin, we headed north again still following the coast, to Ballachulish - where the road split off to Glencoe.
We continued straight on crossing Loch Leven, and cycled along the banks of Loch Linnhe, enjoying a .much deserved flat run into Fort William.
We climbed out of town towards Spean Bridge and the impressive Commando Memorial, and finish the day on an undulating route alongside Loch Lochy.
98 miles
Happy Birthday Cloe xxxx
