A walk around Beja in the morning was a interest break from driving, the old town and castle is an interesting visit, not yet a tourist trap and the case is just up from being a ruin.

The run down to Olhao from Beja was down the IP2 and then the N2. The N2 is a glorious bit of road though the mountain areas of the algave. Glorious that is if in a fast sports car or on a motorcycle. It is a slightly different experience in a 3.5 ton vehicle, although it was still an enjoyable run. In fact if you have a motorcycle you should desend to Portugal just to ride this rode.

The first big commerical site we have stayed in. The pitches are close together and shaded under trees. But it has extensive facilities and in the low season very cheap to stay at.
