After a wet and damp drive across the country side (This is beginning to become somewhat of a trend in Ireland) we crossed the shannon by ferry and continued up to Galway. We head to do a lot of driving now if we wanted to get around the country and back for our ferry as we had a return ticket. This was a bit of a change for us as until now we had never had a plan (timewise) for the travels and now we had two weeks to travel around the whole of the Island.
