We left newtown and drove to Blarney driving through Cork and then up to the campsite. As usual (it turned out) the weather was variable from lovely sun to pouring rain. Having reached the campsite we released the children and let them play into the evening and settled down for the night. The next day we spent a lazy morning on the site with the children running about and making new friends. We then proceed to walk down to the village and visit the castle. The Blarney stone was not kissed but the castle was impressive as a tourist attaction. A pub evening meal with a pint of murphys and we caught the taxi back to the campsite. The evening was spent with the family that the children had been playing with the most and a good time was had. So much that we didn't release the time until the warden asked us to shut up and go to bed.
The next day we bid the various families on the site a good by as we stayed on for an extra day and they drove on to the next campsite. Adrian came in running from the outside with one of the childrens toys in a panic as they had left it behind. We told him not to worry as we had the mobile number of the family and left them know we had the toy and we should see them later on.
We had an early night and made our plans for the next day.
