Time to get Organized
We started the day out by having breakfast with the Mazatlan Rotarians. Members from all 3 clubs were in attendance. It was good to see people that we had met on other trips. The Paul Harris Fellowship was re-presented to Paulina for the benefit of those who had missed the more private event the day before. After a lunch break, we assembled at the hotel to travel to the vehicles and sort out equipment.
One of the volunteer fire departments, the Veteranos, has been camped out since our arrival to keep an eye on the deliveries for us. They had the ladder truck from a previous trip set up with a large Canadian flag floating in the breeze. We unloaded boxes of equipment and clothing to distribute to the various groups. By the time the gear was all sorted and we had talked to the firefighters, the afternoon was over. We had supper just down the street from our hotel and went to bed early in preparation for a busy day on Tuesday.
