Hour long walk after no change got us shooed off a street car!
Made it to Fishemans Warf great views and Irish coffees by 11am.. Got a tram up the hill to Lombard Street, lots of tourists down the beautiful winding hill of green gardens. A flock of parrots swirl over head.. no really!

On to washington sq and Columbus street beat cafes! Wow, Visuvious!! Kerouacs bar and city lights, best book store in the world! More beat generation awaits so to the beat museum.. What a trip.. so much to it all! The director of the motorcycle diaries was here, he's shooting On The Road, Kerouac's amazing novel!

Dinner at a great Italian in little Italy then amazing coffee at Grecos.. after which we head up to grant street nik nakd and curious abound! We strife up to telegraph hill and up the tower.. What a view! Clouds blow by and the city spreads out below!

Down the steps through the gardens past the tiger.. Onto the Warf for a stroll then drinks at the hard rock before a taxi home. Pretty good first day!
