We sailed overnight for Budapest which is our final destination. Arrived about 8.30 am. We went on a tour of Budapest of about 2 and a 1/2 hours, on coach and foot. The city spans the banks of the Danube, with seven bridges spanning ancient Buda on the hillside and Pest on the left. Such a magnificent city, though such a difficult history. Determined to read up a lot more about what challenges these European cities have gone through over the last centuries.
Went on a tour to an art and craft village called St Andrews in the afternoon, but unfortunately I wasn't feeling the best. However did get a lovely little water colour painting which really appeals to me. Mmmm .... Possibly need more walls at home ...
Again Ross got some great photos. I'm really impressed with his shots, getting a really artistic understanding without taking an hour per shot!! I've had a couple of turns but rather give Ross the instructions for what I see. Yes dear, he says ...
Hah hah getting quite a collection of door photos, as well as flowers ...
Had a coach tour at 9pm to see the lights of Bupapest, and although we were all tired Patty, David, Ross and I went. Was so beautiful and we agreed was a fitting end to our wonderful tour.
Back to our stateroom to pack.
